About
I am from Denmark and of Moorish background, speak French Danish and English, Actually searching for a publisher to assist in publishing my first book.
The book is set in an early 17 century Holland, precisely in the city of Amsterdam and it vicinity.
My manuscript started about 2004 during my 3 years residency in Amsterdam. The complex and distinct character of Netherlands social history was a source of fascination that inspired the story line. My interest in the topic was particularly intensified by a variety of finding regarding the city's civic laws and communal life before and during the 17 century. Ideas emerged and took form while delving into Amsterdam library of national archive including the national museums and their multiple collections of painting, depicting daily communal scene throughout the nation.
This single historical fiction was also carefully structured to highlight the distinctive aspects of Netherland society using it civic and religious laws including some factual occurrences from that era.
However the fundamental nature of the book is certainly thought provoking. Since some of the characters are set to directly confront the reader and his preconceived ideas and principles while unleashing an avalanche of controversial topics still prevalent to these days.

by TRZAGOR 1 year agoThanks Tony, the language issue is indeed the challenge I have taken on. It is not a comfortable ambition. However the whole process is deeply fulfilling as long as one enjoys it.

by Tony 1 year agoHi TRZ, a belated welcome to the Cloud. I've been busy and then away for a few days. I'm always in awe of people who speak several languages. And to attempt to have a book published in one that is not your mother tongue is really ambitious. I wish you all the best with your efforts.

by TRZAGOR 1 year agoThanks for your interest WRATHNAR. I am planning to send the manuscript to writer workshop for a last assessment before public display. It is my first book and I having had any professional assessment up to now. Such input is badly needed in my case.
