Are you a ...?Writer published in mags, etcWhat genre do you primarily write in?FantasyIf you write in more than one area, what is your next most favoured genre?ExperimentalAre your reading habits ...?OmnivorousWho is your favourite author(s)?Too numerous to listAnd your all time favourite books? (You can change these at any time, by the way ...)'Favourite Books' are those that affected my attitude to life, ie: THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY. LUST FOR LIFE. 300 SPARTANS. THE THIRD EYE. For pure joy: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY. HERE BE DRAGONS.What are your working habits when you write?ProcastinatoryAre you the edit-every-sentence-ten-times type, or do you prefer to let rip?Prefer to let rip and edit afterwardsYour ultimate writing ambition? To write to the best of my ability and encourage others to do the same for the satisfaction of making beautiful word music.Your worst habit?Ignoring housework when I have more interesting things to do. Oh, come on .... .Your opinion on the books industry?Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get throughWhere do you write? In a corner of my bedroom. What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?I love nature. For me an ancient forest beats any cathedral for spiritual uplift. I enjoy pop music if it's as good as Queen or CCR, but nothing less than that. I play keyboard and love classical music best; full orchestral and as loud as you like.

About
Faced with a challenge I never ever run away. Where values and principles are at issue I would rather die in a ditch than compromise.
My abiding love of the natural world makes me something of a pagan. I'm an unashamed tree-hugger! Now somewhat restricted to a wee flat, I miss the gardens and animals I once loved and cared for - the rambling walks of other times - but I accept that all things must pass and look for joy wherever.

by Alexander 3 months agoNow you're just making me feel guilty! hehehe. But you're right. Real names break the fantasy. Tolkien is a God of fantasy, and that's partly because of his names and languages, if not mostly. Soooo... my own names... I can probably try again. Trial and error... trial and error.
