About

I've always had a love of words and can easily feel blown away by an exquisite piece of poetry. I truly believe that certain combinations of words with just the right metre can transport us to somewhere beyond our 'selves' and tune us in to something 'more than'. There is a creative power that goes beyond the actual creation of the work itself; it is self-perpetuating, inspiring greater and greater things. I sense this is in keeping with what many great sages refer to when they spoke of 'The Word of God'; the sound which inspired the creation of All.

My writing has evolved over time from a means of release of the existential angst of a teenager to an expression for my spiritual connection some 10-15 years later. Although the emotion and energy within my writing has changed dramatically over time, I would say that it has always been seeking to explore the big questions: 'Who am I?' and 'Why are we here?'.

I'm motivated by the nature of love and a love of nature. Spirituality is paramount to my writing these days; my utter conviction that there is so much more to this existence than meets the eye and that my works themselves are another way that the source/the One/God (whatever you may wish to label it) experiences itself through me.

After years of keeping my poetry as a very personal affair, I'm now feeling called to share my once-private words with the world.
