by Katie 9 months agoHello,
Mike had a quick look at your book- A jigsaw puzzle and I LOVE your style of writing and I'm wondering if you could help me. I'm writing a new book about archaeologists in Egypt and would love my book to read like A jigsaw puzzle... that sort of style could you help?? -
by mockingbird 10 months agoAm I right in thinking the other day we were mentioning a link between a hack-writer and a Hackney carriage.
Just now I am reading a biography of Jane Austen, written in the late 1930's by an Elizabeth Jenkins. And I decided to Google her for some other info - found her obituary a year or so ago in the Telegraph - which contains the following interesting detail...'In 1947, when she was writing full-time, Elizabeth Jenkins published a life of Henry Fielding, a man who once said that he had to choose between being a hack writer and a hackney coachman.' Have I found the missing link? -
by SecretSpi 1 year agoJust catching up - and see you won the competition. Brilliant - and I think it must have been one of the most popular comps yet...so double brilliant.

by La 1 year agoThanks for accepting my invite Mike, very decent of you Sir, and for the comments on my Blog. Being new to writing, any guidance is most welcome. As for 'Comedy Writing', I just scribble away with no intention of adhering to any genre, it just comes out as it comes out I am affraid. Would be nice to write for BBC and BBC Radio
