  Your ultimate writing ambition?
  Now, to find an agent who can take my work and do something lucrative with it. Later, earn enough to provide a modest living wage, thus enabling me to give up the day-job and to travel. Mind you, being interviewed by Melvyn Bragg wouldn't go amiss.
  Your worst habit?
  Displacement activities too numerous to mention. Too interested in production and totally uninterested in marketing. If I have a list of ten very important things to do, I start at number 17. I work well to deadlines but can't set them for myself.
  Your opinion on the books industry?
  Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get through
