About
I've had three novels published: Space Captain Smith, God Emperor of Didcot and Wrath of the Lemming Men. They're all comedies about the misadventures of daring British space explorer Isambard Smith and his not-very-useful crew, and are available in Waterstones and Amazon and the like.
If you enjoyed Dan Dare, Biggles or Blackadder, you'll like them. If you liked all three of those, your head will probably explode with glee.
I'm also writing a fantasy thriller set during the Renaissance, for which I am currently seeking a publisher. I'll let you know how that goes!

by Stephy 1 year agoHey Toby. I was in the Milton Keynes Waterstones store last week and saw Space Captain Smith had been picked as one of their readers favorites - it was displayed with a few other top picks on a special book shelf in the front of the store :-)

by Kiki 1 year agoToby, loved your Creating Worlds session. Your glowing cheeks whilst surrounded by breasts on Saturday night was also a highlight. Take care & look forward to seeing you again in the future (^O^)

by Bontems 1 year agoHey there. Just like to say, great workshop at York. As a fan of SF&F and of Chandler it was right up my street. I'm interested to hear that you're writing a fantasy thriller set in the Renaissance, that sounds very cool. Oh, and I've ordered your SCSmith books - there's not enough humour in today's sci-fi genre.

by Rugby Anthony 2 years agoToby, nice to see you here. Appreciated your comments in Authonomy Live (the Ghanaian immigrant cleaner walking the streets of Birmingham) - on the rewrite pile as we speak. I'll be investigating the Space Captain for some lemming updates, and the Renaissance fantasy thriller sounds like a whole new genre in the making. Good luck with it.
