About
York uni English Lit/Politics graduate, currently living in Staffordshire.
Getting over my lifelong habit of starting a story but never finishing it. At the moment, I'm working on a couple of Sci-Fi stories, one of which is a Doctor Who novella involving a psychotic computer =)
Also looking to utilise my slightly OCD approach to language and get into freelance proofreading/editing (doing a distance-learning course at the moment).
Quite enjoying the idea that I really could end up anywhere in the next few years =)

by Wrathnar the Unreasonable 8 months agoThink nothing of it, old egg. As for the Staffordshires, well, inbreeding is a terrible thing: webbed feet, thumbs growing out of foreheads and all that. Rum do, eh what?

by Wrathnar the Unreasonable 8 months agoAbsolutely not! We Berkshire Bongwaters never mention the Staffordshire branch - oh, the shame!

by CJ 9 months agoGood tunes! Seen both bands live and was blown away by both (especially A Perfect Circle... they were *terrifyingly* good live!) - been a long time since the Levellers, though... ^^D

by William 9 months agoThanks for the welcome PaD. I too seem to have a taste for dystopian fiction, I blame my school years, all they seemed to teach me was about dystopian fiction and it seems to have stuck. I have seen the film, as they always say the book was better, but that's not to put the film down. It was very well made. I tend to be quite experimental with my writing, half of it is probably not fit to be seen by anyone else. I have written the first draft of a novel though, which inevitably end up as a dystopia. I might post a short story up soon to get the ball rolling. What sorts of things are you writing?

by Dizzy 1 year agoHaha, Watch out for rohue school busses, i had a little scuffle with one on the way to the train station!!
Yeah, i am too, but im really tring to get myself organised, cos that's were i fall hardest, it's coming along though... i think!
Yeah it was great getting some objective views, took me a minute to get up the balls of course, but i found it was well worth it! I mean thats what were trying to do, get strangers to be able to read our writing without it being rediculously hard to follow! I suggest try8ing it out, i plan to do it more, but picking the right person may be a bit difficult! -
