I began creative writing under the obligation of school work when I was an infant, but it disappeared from my life duriing secondary school (High school) simply because I forgot it existed - strange, I know, but my secondary school focused on English Lit. as opposed to Creative Writing.

by Tony 1 year agoWhat is VITAL, Stephen, is that your novel must be well-nigh perfect with regards to the sort of things an editor would pick up on (like ending sentences with two prepositions!). Whether a particular writer needs an editor to get their ms into that state of near perfection, or whether they can manage without professional help depends on the individual.
The problem with not using and editor, of course, is KNOWING whether or not you need one ;-) -
