My name is Katie and I am a 27 year old American living in France. In january 2009 I finished my first book and have since been revising and sending out query packages to possible agents. I have found the process thoroughly frustrating and draining but I have made a vow to stick with it and keep working on myself until I succeed. I am a married mother of three and I work part time as an english teacher for a french primary school.

I joined ages ago in the hope it would be the same for me, but I don't seem to be able to find any help on there. I am a typical bloke and useless at finding things! :P. by Marion 1 year agoThe world cup is great! Tourists everywhere and the vibe is electric. There’s a vuvuzela craze at the mo – the tourists are going mad for them. They sound more annoying on tv than they really are but I dare anyone to blow a vuvuzela and not have a smile on your face afterwards. Crime isn’t as bad as we’d feared although just yesterday an American was robbed then shot. But they’re coming down really hard on criminals now. Pity they don’t bother at other times.
