I am married with a baby and live in Austria in a mountain resort. I am a fine artist and have recently begun exploring the idea of illustrating children's books. My website it

I am also an integrative arts psychotherapist which involves using all modalities of art to explore/encourage/give voice to the unconscious where words can often leave the client in their head. The arts enliven the whole body, can shift things energetically and are powerful ways to express.

It was during my training where I took a creative writing workshop and the seed was planted. Two years later and in quiet surroundings I picked up a pen and began to write my first story.

And here I am.

Hi Mel, its Emma from the group, hope you are alright and enjoying the course! I wondered if you e-mailed a copy of your story to the whole group as not sure if I got it. Based on such positive feedback from Lil, I would really like to see what you did if thats OK? I am finding that writing dialogue is quite tricky for me so would really appreciate seeing a case of when it has been done so well as your obviously was!
    Thanks, Emma x

Hi there, Mel - just had a look at your art site, and I am very impressed! I'm an artist, too, and I've been trying to set up a 'proper' website (as opposed to just a FB / DeviantART page) and wondered what you used for yours? It looks so professional :-)
