I've noticed I can delete others' posts in my own threads - is this correct? Surely I shouldn't be able to delete posts from other people, only my own?Information

by Johncjg 4 months agops i havent replied in the forum topic because i think ive had alot of feedback and don't want to clog up the cloud :) i do appreciate your comments, and i have made changes. once ive finished up my novel, ill repost the amended opening chapter. the main reason i posted chapter 1 was because i didn't want to go on writing if the first chapter wasn't strong enough, as of course this is what agents will read. think of it like checking the foundations before building your house -
by Johncjg 4 months agothanks for your postings, ive streamlined it more now and cut that part of the first chapter.
1) you can't tell what a story will be after the first chapter surely?
2) i don't really know what you mean... it's pretty standard in many genre's fantasy, mystery etc to leave red herrings, and misdirections, it's part of thrill when it comes to reading it, it'd be pretty boring if you knew what was going to happen next
i posted it because i wanted to know what people thought? isn't that everyone's motivaton? -
