"SecretSpi" commented on Barry Walsh's Blog "Long Ride - postscript".Not sure I want to delve deeper into what state your briefs were in...seriously, that is a wonderful achievement and the sum of money raised for the youth club is, well, piles of dosh - they should be able to do something with that. Well done to you ...

"SecretSpi" commented on AlanP's Blog "Get real - Why bother?".It does make me wonder, having spent hours getting details of uniforms and aeroplane livery right when my story is set in a totally fictitious country via an unlikely time-slip device!

About
When I was little, I wanted to be a spy. I got off to a fine start studying Psychology (including Parapsychology) at Trinity College, Cambridge but then got tempted into the (then) glamorous world of advertising which is still how I earn my money today.
My first book, a retro-style adventure story for 9-12s, was published in April 2012:

by Squidge 6 days agoSpi - just had to share this with you. I was talking cloudie things at the dinner table tonight, and mentioned your book. Mr Squidge looked puzzled. "What's the book called? The bother in Birmingham? What's wrong with Birmingham?" he asked. Needless to say, we had great fun imagining what THAT story would be like once I'd explained (and spoken more clearly!) My daughter thought it would make a great audio book... :)
