About
I used to be a-novel-a-year person, most of which went in the drawer. Until that is, one magic day when an agent spotted my short story in Mslexia. She persuaded me I was a natural for Y/A and Random House published my trilogy. Fame and fortune beckoned but never quite materialized! Nowadays I write a lot of reports as an Editor. I still love reading and writing short stories though, and look forward to reading some of yours.

by Tony 1 month agoSuze, I think, from memory, you have to load it onto your Profile first (as you've done) and then from your blog pick it up from the profile version.

by Jill 3 months agoPS: Not sure whether you ever found the end of my sentence, but it was about being in the mood for keeping energies flowing. 'Out with old, in with new'.

by Jill 3 months agoThank you, Suze. Not quite ready for resending main work off, but poetry for assessment is ready to post. Hoping to get some published by a small press eventually.
I needed those Nelson Mandela words again and they presented themselves to me! I often find books 'fall open' or 'fall off the shelf' at exactly the right moment for me. Clever of them. Do you experience the same sort of thing, I wonder?
Have a lovely weekend. -
by Jill 4 months agoThose d..... Cloud Gremlins and IE. We NEED FireFox - it was AlanP who encouraged me in that respect, btw - end 2011. He is a computer genius! I will be forever grateful. (AlanP are your ears burning?:)
Any remaining gremlins will not keep good (feisty) women down and we will communicate effectively, despite the little devils!!!! J :) OK, cannot resist adding ~ it is foretold in the stars.
Apologies for any grammatical errors. It is time I retired to dreamland. Been up since who knows when. Mark of a true writer? I do hope so.... :{*} -
by Barb 4 months agoSuze, scroll right down your profile. When it can fit the whole message at the top it puts it in an area called the wall. You'll be able to see the rest of what Jill said there.

by Jill 4 months agoOh! No Suze blogs yet - still problems?
In answer to your query, I began blogging this month and posted five in quick succession! Practicing the art. They had great responses, but I deleted them the other day.
I'm in the mood for keeping energies flowing. 'Out with the old and in with the new'. The blogs, I felt, had served their purpose.
At present I am concentrating on submissions again and also sending work for assessments. I will return to blogging at some point, as I found the experience stimulating, supportive and fun in equal measures.
Hope you succeed, as I am sure your blogs will be very interesting.
Have a lovely evening. :) -
by Squidge 4 months agoThanks Suze for the feedback on Rurik. When I get a chance, I'll repost the earlier chapters on my profile. Glad you liked it.

by Harry 4 months agoI'm getting a (very nice) blue lady. But, Suze, careful of SecretSpi. She seems nice, but she is a pro assassin. Just be polite and watch your back.
