  Saturday, Amsterdam, The Shadow of the Wind, Cocaine Nights, Tales of the City, The Great Gatsby, Brideshead Revisited, The Sansom Shardlake series. Everything, really.......except the highbrow stuff which I never get more than half-way through.

  Omigood! You mean I've got to choose just one? My worst is that when I'm writing dialogue I try to get it done as quickly as possible then have to add stage directions.

  Too much celebrity and hype, but good books still get through
