They're actually golden gages and have a whole saga of their own
described in my blog.
Our tree produced loads this year. I stewed some and put them in
the freezer, and we have them for Sunday pud with custard. I also
made several pots of jam. When we ran out of freezer space and
empty jars, my husband set the rest going for wine. I think the
shops have just about restocked on suger now.
